Mark Seibold

Mark Seibold has been studying and practicing within the Vajradhatu/Shambhala community since 1981. Between 2000 and 2007 he served as director and co-director of the New Haven Shambhala Center in New Haven, CT. From 2015 to 2018 he served director of Practice and Education for the Pioneer Valley Shambhala Center and from 2020 until Shambhala Day, 2022 as director. He has been on the faculty of the Nitartha Institute since 2005 where he teaches the Foundational curriculum as well as Tibetan grammar and Tibetan Buddhist literature. A member of the Nalanda Translation Committee, in recent years he has been working on a translation of the Chronicles of Padmasaṃbhava, an epic poem by Yeshe Tsogyal revealed by the tertön Urgyen Lingpa early in the 14th century C.E. He lives in Greenfield, MA with his wife, Elizabeth.
