Shastri Mary Campbell

Mary Campbell has been a student of the Shambhala Buddhist teachings since 1981. She is a meditation instructor and teacher within the Shambhala Buddhist tradition and a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatry and Mental Health. In 2010, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche appointed Mary as a Shastri (senior teacher) for Halifax.

Mary teaches widely in Shambhala and for many years has taught mindfulness within health care settings. She has written on mindfulness for nursing publications and is a coinvestigator in mindfulness research.
